Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced for garnish
Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil for minimal cleanup.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning.
Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet. Season each fillet with salt and pepper.
Arrange the thin lemon slices on top of or around the salmon fillets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time depends on the thickness of your fillets.
Remove from the oven. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a complete healthy salmon meal, roast asparagus or broccoli florets on the same sheet pan alongside the salmon for the last 10 minutes of cooking.
This recipe scales well if you are making salmon for two; simply use two fillets.
If you prefer a richer flavor, substitute half the butter with mayonnaise for a creamier coating.
