Make this festive Peppermint Espresso Martini. It combines rich espresso flavor with cool peppermint for an upgraded holiday cocktail that is quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Freshly Brewed Espresso, cooled
  • 0.5 oz Coffee Liqueur (like Kahlua)
  • 0.25 oz Peppermint Schnapps
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup (or to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • For Garnish: Crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Prepare your martini glass by moistening the rim and dipping it into crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings, if desired. Set the glass aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  3. Add the vodka, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  4. Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 15 to 20 seconds, to create foam.
  5. Strain the mixture into your prepared martini glass.
  6. Garnish with three coffee beans or a sprinkle of crushed peppermint. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer, creamier texture, substitute 0.5 oz of the simple syrup with 0.5 oz of heavy cream or half-and-half.
  • If you do not have peppermint schnapps, you can use 1-2 drops of high-quality peppermint extract, but adjust carefully as extracts are strong.
  • Use high-quality, freshly pulled espresso for the best flavor in this caffeine cocktail for parties.
