Bake boneless chicken in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce for a flavorful, simple weeknight dinner.

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Pour the cream mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. If using, mix breadcrumbs and melted butter, then sprinkle over the top of the sauce.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake, omit the breadcrumbs.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts; adjust the baking time as needed.
  • This recipe works well for family friendly chicken dinners and provides good leftovers.
