Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made 9-inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold eggnog
  • 1 cup cold milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • Ground nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix, cold eggnog, cold milk, and vanilla extract.
  2. Whisk the mixture by hand or with an electric mixer on medium speed for about two minutes, until the pudding begins to thicken.
  3. Gently fold in half of the thawed whipped topping into the pudding mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Spoon the creamy eggnog filling evenly into the prepared graham cracker crust.
  5. Spread the remaining half of the whipped topping over the filling to create a smooth top layer.
  6. Cover the pie loosely with plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours, or until the pie is completely set.
  7. Before serving this easy holiday dessert, sprinkle the top generously with ground nutmeg.

Notes

  • You can make this simple holiday pie one day ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • If you prefer a richer flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the milk with spiced rum or bourbon.
  • For a homemade crust, combine 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and 6 tablespoons melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie plate and chill for 30 minutes before filling.
