Make a large batch of rich, creamy hot chocolate using your slow cooker. This recipe keeps warm for hours, making it perfect for Christmas morning or any large winter party.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, heavy cream, and whole milk in the basin of your slow cooker. Whisk until combined.
  2. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chips to the liquid mixture.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 1 to 2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes, until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth. Do not let it boil.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  5. Switch the slow cooker setting to the KEEP WARM setting. Serve directly from the crock pot.

  • For a festive topping, set out small bowls of mini marshmallows, whipped cream, and crushed candy canes for guests to customize their drinks.
