Make this creamy, sweet, and perfectly spiced cinnamon butter at home in under five minutes. This easy recipe yields a spread just like the famous Texas Roadhouse version, perfect for warm rolls or toast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until it becomes light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, brown sugar, honey, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  4. Beat the mixture on low speed until the dry ingredients are just incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  5. Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and beat for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cinnamon butter is completely smooth and whipped.
  6. Serve immediately with warm rolls or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • For the best texture, ensure your butter is truly at room temperature, not melted. This helps achieve the whipped consistency.
  • If you prefer a sweeter spread, increase the powdered sugar to 3/4 cup.
  • This homemade cinnamon spread keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
