Ingredients
Scale
1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
Prepare the blueberry filling: In a small bowl, gently mix the blueberries, 1/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Set aside.
Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
Flatten each triangle slightly with your fingers or a rolling pin.
Spoon about 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of the blueberry filling onto the wide end of each dough triangle.
Fold the dough over the filling to create a sealed triangle shape, pinching the edges firmly together to prevent leaks. You can trim off excess dough if needed.
For the Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the sealed bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter.
For the Air Fryer Method: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the sealed bombs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter.
Bake (Oven): Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cook (Air Fryer): Cook for 7 to 9 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
While the pie bombs are still warm, brush them again lightly with any remaining melted butter.
Roll or sprinkle the warm pie bombs in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated. Serve warm for the best experience.
Notes
If you use frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before mixing with the other filling ingredients.
For a richer flavor, you can add a small dollop of cream cheese before sealing the dough around the filling.
If the filling leaks during baking, pinch the seams tighter next time.
